Man indicted for murder of former girlfriend in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Authorities have indicted 25-year-old Cameron Hill of Union in connection to the death of his 23-year-old girlfriend Cassidy Hutchings.

Hutchings' body was found at Reikers Ford Access around 7:50 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19.

Hill has been charged with armed criminal action and first-degree murder. 

The sheriff’s office said they received a call from a resident near Reikers and Ford River Access around 7:50 a.m. stating there was an adult’s body in the river.

Police said Hill slashed her throat at the Reiker Ford on the Bourbeuse River then chased her into the river where he stabbed her repeatedly. 

Hill is being held in the Franklin County Jail on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
