Several St. Louis-area government buildings closed Friday, Arch on delayed opening

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – The ice storm caused multiple closing of St. Louis-area government buildings on Friday. 

While most remain closed due to the weekend, those that are open will do so on a delay. 

The Arch and the Old Courthouse are both on two-hour delayed openings. The Arch will open at 11:00 a.m., while the Old Courthouse will open at 10:00 a.m. 

The incoming ice storm has closed the following government buildings in the St. Louis-area Friday:

  • The St. Louis City Hall
  • Eastern District of Missouri court
  • St. Clair County Courthouse and district offices
  • St. Charles County government offices and buildings 
  • Berkeley City Hall

The following government buildings are planning to close at noon:

  • The Lincoln County Government Offices
  • Glen Carbon Village Hall
  • O'Fallon, Mo. City Hall

Also, the 11th Judicial Circuit Court in St. Charles County will not proceed with court functions, but the court will be accessible for electronic filing and Requests for Orders of Protection. The duty clerk may be contacted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 1-866-466-6514.
