CHICAGO, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

A Chicago man is facing charges for allegedly threatening Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner.

Eric M. Pence, 24, is charged with threatening a public official and harassment using an electronic communication device.

Pence allegedly sent a threat letter to Rauner and threatening emails to the DuPage County Sheriff.

He is being held in the DuPage County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
