Officer injured following armed robbery in Bevo Mill

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

An officer is injured after pursuing a robbery suspect in the Bevo Mill. 

On Thursday morning, around 11:00 a.m., police responded to a call of an armed robbery in the 4600 block of Gravois. Police arrived on the scene of a Family Dollar store, and later took one suspect into custody. 

However, a second suspect fled the scene on foot. The suspect headed southbound on Itaska. 

Police said one officer sustained a minor injury to her arm, but the specificity of the injury is unknown. The officer was transported to the hospital for treatment. 

An investigation into the robbery is ongoing. News 4 will update this story as more information becomes available.
