Box cutter used to injure woman during fighter outside North City school

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A woman was cut with a box cutter during an argument with another woman outside a school in the Walnut Park East neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

The women were at Aspire Academy in the 5420 block of Thekla to pick up their children when they got in an argument around 4 p.m., police said.

One of the women, described as being 25 years old, punched the other woman, who is also 25, in the chest. After she was punched, the second woman stabbed the first in the neck and chest with a box cutter.

A 26-year-old woman who saw the altercation then became involved and kicked the woman who had the box cutter.

The woman who was stabbed was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The woman who had the box cutter was arrested at the scene, the woman who was stabbed will be charged with assault third and the woman who kicked the first suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, according to police.
