ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Southwest Airlines will be adding daily, weekend, and seasonal flights out of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport this summer and beyond.

In addition to an increase to the volume of outgoing flights, Lambert-St. Louis and the airline will be working together to upgrade the airport's terminal.

Beginning June 4, Lambert-St. Louis will have daily flights to current destinations, and add weekend service to Charleston, South Carolina.

Charleston is a new destination for the airline.

In addition to Charleston, Southwest Airlines will be adding once-daily non-stop flights to the current destinations of Boston, Cleveland, Nashville, and San Diego.

As of today, Southwest Airlines and Lambert-St. Louis are working together to continue upgrades to Terminal 2. The modernization and enhancement of the terminal is aimed to accommodate the airline's expanded flight activity.
