O'Fallon IL Police Department unable to take calls, 9-1-1 still working

O'FALLON, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

The O'Fallon Police Department said they are unable to take calls through their seven-digit phone line. 

However, the department is still able to receive calls through their emergency line, 9-1-1. 

Thursday morning, the police department announced the inability to take calls through their Facebook page. Police said areas affected by this are Fairview Heights, Shiloh, and O'Fallon, Illinois. 

The department said they will announce when the problem has been fixed.
