SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

A Florida couple that had their truck stolen from a South City home is relieved after the vehicle was found in St. Louis on Wednesday.

The couple tells News 4 all contents are missing except their GPS system. There are minor dents in the front and back and bumper, but for the most part runs and drives smoothly.

The couple did not know how they would get home before the truck was found.

On Monday morning, Mary Ann Sticka’s husband went outside to find his 2003 blue Dodge Ram pick up truck was stolen from 6100 Marwinette in Holly Hills.

Next to where the truck was parked was another Dodge Ram truck just like it. The thieves left it running with the door open.

That truck had been stolen from the 6400 block of Oakland on Saturday.

“I think the other car was running low on gas and since they were running low on gas they probably decided they needed another truck and my husband’s was available,” said Sticka.

Inside the Sticka’s truck were their Christmas presents and other items they bought to bring back to Florida from St. Louis.
