Fairview Heights' Dandy Inn closing after 40 years in business

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. (KMOV.com) – A popular Irish restaurant in the Metro East is closing after being open for 40 years.

The Dandy Inn in Fairview Heights posted on Facebook they would be open to the public for their last day on Jan. 15.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that we will be closing our doors. Our last day open to the public will be on Sunday, Jan 15th, 2017. So for the remaining time, please stop in, say hello, grab one last cold one, get an order of your favorite wings, and enjoy the Dandy experience with us!,” read a portion of the post made the restaurant’s Facebook page Monday night.

The reason for the closure has not been announced.
