ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

St. Louis City police need help tracking down a group of teens wanted for beating a local musician. It's been four weeks since Tom Hall was assaulted in Soulard in what police say was part of the so-called knockout game.

Hall is still recovering from the assault, but it hasn't stopped him playing gigs.

"I don't know what else I would be doing. This is who I am," said Hall.

Hall looks much different than when he last spoke to News 4 on December 2. It was just a day after he was attacked.

"I look better than I feel. I had what you might call, I feel like I've had a hangover for the past 25 days," said Hall.

After taking a few weeks to get away, Hall got back in the game Monday to play over at the Schlafly Tap Room.

Police are still investigating Hall's case, but they have no leads yet.

"If they don't catch them, they don't catch them. I don't know who they were. To me it's an unanswered question," he said.

It's that unanswered question Hall would one day like an answer to.

"I would actually like to sit down and talk to them. Show them that I am just a normal guy and ask them why. Find out who they are and what led them to resort to that kind of stuff," he said.

Nearly $50,000 has been raised through a Go Fund Me account for Hall. He said it's humbling. Hall has met with a plastic surgeon and will have to have dental work done to reverse the damage from the attack.
