ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Fire officials have ruled a first-alarm fire on Christmas Eve "accidental."

St. Louis Fire Department responded to a residential fire in the 5000 block of Minerva Avenue, north of Forest Park, some time after 12:30 p.m.

Firefighters were on the scene of a first-alarm fire Saturday afternoon where one man was found inside.

Fire officials said the fire has yielded one fatality. Officials also said smoking in bed was the cause of the fire, with oxygen use increasing it's intensity.
