BERKELEY (KMOV.com) -

A person of interest was recently taken into custody in the disappearance of Monica Sykes, 25.

Sykes, 25, of Berkeley, was reported missing in late October. The person of interest was taken into custody on unrelated charges. Police are currently questioning him.

Authorities say a man was last seen with Sykes driving off in s white van.

Sykes’ mother Regina and others in the community have been conducting searches for Monica. On Saturday, they plan to meet in the 8600 block of Airport Road and conduct another search.

The group is also putting on a benefit concert called a Night of Hope and Prayer on December 28.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for anyone that has information on the case. If you have any information, call Berkeley police at 314-524-3311.
