NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

The mother of a 25-year-old missing Berkeley woman is starting a new initiative in hopes of finding her daughter and countless others.

Monica Sykes has been missing since Oct. 27.

Her mother, Regina Sykes said she is determined to remain hopeful for her daughter’s return.

“I’m doing ok today, I’m pretty much taking it hour by hour, moment by moment. I feel accomplished,” said Sykes.

Sykes came up with the idea to start a support group for others who also want to find their missing loved ones.

“I look at these other moms who have been missing their kids for weeks or even months on end. They get up every day and go look for their kids, it makes me hopeful,” said Sykes.

The reward for information leading to a safe return of Monica Sykes is currently $20,000. If you have any information, call Berkeley Police at 314-524-3381 or Crimestoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS.
