ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The St. Charles Police Department is looking for a suspect who stole pharmaceuticals from Schnucks Tuesday morning.

The female suspect approached the pharmacy counter at the store on Zumbehl Road, implied she had a gun, and demanded pharmaceuticals around 8:50 a.m.

The suspect left the store after the pharmacist compiled to her request.

Employees followed the suspect out the store and described her vehicle as a possibly silver color older model Ford SUV, possibly an Escape, with dark trim around the bottom. There was tape blocking the license plate, police said.

Police say that although the suspect implied she had a handgun, she did not show one during the robbery.

Authorities say that even though robberies for cash are more common, robberies to obtain drugs are on the rise.

Anyone with information should contact police at 636-949-3300 or CrimeStoppers at 636-949-3333.
