ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Bottles of soda spilled onto a St. Charles interstate after a semi-truck crash Monday morning.

A semi-truck was disabled on the right shoulder of westbound Interstate 70 at Fifth Street when it was struck by another semi-truck around 4 a.m.

The trailer of the disabled semi-truck was filled with soda bottles, which spilled onto the nearby grass.

The driver of the semi-truck that collided with the disabled one was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

MoDOT crews treated the area with salt and worked throughout the morning to clean up the soda bottles and remove the semi-trucks from the roadway.
