Lincoln County Sheriff's Office giving drivers 24 hours to move their vehicles

Posted: Updated:
LINCOLN COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

The recent ice storm that rode over several areas icy roads and stranded vehicles in it's wake.

But now the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is asking for those vehicles to be moved off the roadways to reduce the congestion of traffic following the storm.

The sheriff's office has already begun moving vehicles they deemed as immediate threats to the roadway. But they are asking those who have vehicles alongside the roadway to move the vehicle as soon as possible.

Vehicles on the side of the road will be tagged with a 24-hour notice, and if it is not moved within that time frame, it will be towed.

The sheriff's office said to contact Lincoln County Central Dispatch if your vehicle has been towed. That number is 636-528-6100.

Those requiring assistance with moving their vehicle can see a full list of towing companies here.
