TROY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Police are looking for the thieves that targeted a church in Troy, Mo. early Tuesday.

Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to an overnight burglary at St. Stephen’s Methodist Church after multiple items were stolen.

"It looks to me like they broke through the front door," said Pastor Bill O'Neill.

The victim told investigators there were five flat screen televisions, stage lights, DVD players, a laptop, a wireless headset, three synthesizer keyboards, and a 5-watt guitar amp taken from the church.

"I'm thinking four to five thousand dollars in equipment was taken," O'Neill told News 4.

Church leaders are now scrambling for equipment for their Christmas Eve service next week.

Police believe the burglars entered the church between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

If you have any information regarding this burglary, call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 636-528-8546 ex.3445.
