Man charged with selling synthetic marijuana to homeless in downtown St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A 56-year-old man has been charged for selling synthetic marijuana, or K-2, to homeless man in downtown St. Louis.

St.Louis Metropolitan Police has been constantly battling the K-2 epidemic, especially in the downtown area.  Click the link below for more information.

John Darryel White was charged with one felony count of Delivery or Manufacture of Imitation Controlled Substance for a drug exchange that occurred in the 1400 block of Locust.

The responding officer said White sold a pre-rolled cigarette to another individual, that appeared to be tobacco but smelled of potpourri.

The other man who purchased the substance was also taken into custody.

Investigation is ongoing.
