Man charged after allegedly running over victim near liquor store

SHILOH, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

A Belleville man is in custody after allegedly running over another man with his vehicle on Saturday.

Shiloh Police responded to a call around 9:30 p.m. about a physical altercation near the King’s Mart at 1551 Hartman Lane.  When officers arrived on scene, the suspect was attempting to flee in his vehicle.

The driver was immediately taken into custody.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

On Dec. 12, Demond D. Crosby was charged with three felony counts including Aggravated Battery/Great Bodily Harm, Aggravated Battery/Use Deadly Weapon, and Aggravated Battery/Public Place.

Crosby’s bond is set at $65,000. He is currently in custody at St. Clair County Jail.
