ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A 21-year-old St. Louis man has been charged with kidnapping after a missing 13-year-old girl was found over the weekend.

The 13-year-old girl was reported missing from school on Thursday around 9:30 a.m.

Investigators said Shaquan Smith tried to pick Johnson up from school, posing as her uncle, but the school refused to release her to him.

Johnson was later seen running away from the school with Smith, who was wanted for felony probation violation for past burglaries and theft of a firearm, police said.
