A star football at Hazelwood Central High School is heading to Yale.
Jordan Carey, who was team captain for three years, and is senior class president, received offers from four Ivy League schools. The offers came from Yale, Harvard, Columbia and Penn.
Carey scored 31 on the ACT and has a 4.1 GPA. He was a starter on the varsity football team during all four years in high school.
Carey verbally committed to Yale over the summer and plans to sign a letter of intent to play football there in February. He said he plans to major in computer science.
