SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

Bomb and arson investigators are on the scene of fire at an apartment building in south St. Louis.

The blaze broke out in the 3400 block of Illinois, not far from Antique Row on Cherokee Street.

Investigators say the fire may have broken out in one of the buildings vacant apartments.

The building is not far from the Benton Park neighborhood where a series of suspicious fires have taken place.

Because of those fires, the St. Louis Fire Department started to send bomb and arson investigators to any fire in the area.
