NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

Students at Incarnate Word Academy volunteered to have at least eight inches of their hair cut and donated for wigs for cancer patients.

The event was part of the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Program with the American Cancer Society. It was spearheaded by the school’s philanthropy club.

In total, around 70 students participated.

The Incarnate Word Philanthropy Club organizes charitable events to raise money and awareness for many organizations in the St. Louis area.
