ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Due to maintenance between two different MetroLink stops, riders who are regulars on that route will instead be shuttled by bus this weekend.

Starting Dec. 10, and lasting through Dec. 11, MetroLink will not operate trains between the Union Station and Stadium MetroLink stations. MetroLink said passengers should allow extra time, as travel delays are expected to be 15-to-30 minutes long.

Shuttles will take passengers by bus and will have scheduled stops at the Union Station MetroLink Station and Stadium MetroLink Station.

This is all due to required maintenance on MetroLink's power system.

As for Red and Blue Line, MetroLink will operate their normal schedules west of Union Station MetroLink stop. Red Line trains will run east of Stadium MetroLink, and they will run every 20 minutes between the Stadium and Shiloh-Scott Stops.

As for Blue Line, there will be no service east of Stadium. Blue Line riders will need to ride the Red Line if they are traveling between Stadium Station and Fairview Heights Station.

MetroLink said the Civic Center station will also be closed the weekend of Dec. 10, but a walkway between Gateway Transportation and 14th street will be open.

Normal operations will resume Monday, Dec. 12.

In preparation for the demolition of Forest Park Parkway bridge, MetroLink will operate a single track between Forest Park-DeBaliviere and Central West Station from 8:00 p.m., until the end of service for Dec. 8 and Dec. 9. Delays are expected to be 5-to-10 minutes long, MetroLink said.
