Lincoln County man arrested for failing to register as sex offender

LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A Lincoln County man has been arrested for failing to register himself as a sex offender, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said. 

Donald E. Lalonde Jr. is being charged with Failure to Register as a Sex offender. 

Lalonde pleaded guilty to First Degree Child Molestation in 1998, where the victim was a 12 year-old male. 

Per Missouri law, Lalonde, 53, is required to register with the sheriff's office every 90 days. The sheriff's office said LaLonde failed to do. The sheriff's office also said Lalonde failed to register his current address and phone number. 

Lalonde is currently being held in the Lincoln County Jail. His bond is set at $2,500, cash-only.
