Vandals strike St. Charles County middle school

ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Vandals struck a St. Charles County Middle School overnight.

The St. Charles County Police Department said graffiti was found by a school resource officer on the Barnwell Middle School track, a portable building and the school building around 7 a.m. Thursday.

When Skyzoom 4 flew over school, which is in the Francis Howell School District, there were numerous graffiti writings on the track, some of which included profanity and racial epithets. One of the messages on the track read “Build that Wall," and one on a portable building read "[expletive] school 2020."

While Skyzoom 4 as over the school, crews were working to clean the graffiti from the track.

The police department said they are working with school officials and community members to find the person(s) responsible for the vandalism. Anyone with information should contact the police department at 636-949-3000, ext. 1818.
