ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – One person was killed and another injured after being shot in separate incidents in north St. Louis County Wednesday night that police believe are related.

Around 9:45 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in the foot in the 10400 block of Baron. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition, but is not cooperating with investigators, police said.

Around 30 minutes later, police were called to the 10400 block of Royal, about five blocks east of the earlier shooting, after a 43-year-old Patricia Pendleton was shot. According to police, the woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but later died of her injuries.

Police believe a dispute between several young males led to the shooting on Bacon, which then led to the shooting on Royal.

Pendleton was not involved in the dispute, police say.

The investigations are ongoing.
