SWANSEA (KMOV.com) -

Two suspects are charged with robbing and shooting and a man at the Swansea MetroLink station Monday.

Deangelo Franklin and Shaquille Turner allegedly robbed a victim and shot him in the face at the Swansea MetroLink station around 8:00 p.m.

Following the shooting, trains were not running between the Memorial Hospital and Shiloh-Scott Stations. Shuttles took passengers between the Memorial Hospital, Swansea, Belleville, College and Shiloh-Scott stations.

Full service was restored before 10:45 p.m.

Two St. Clair Sheriff’s Deputies were in the parking lot of the Swansea station when the shooting occurred. They detained both suspects.

The victim was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.

Police said they also arrested two people in connection to a recent robbery and shooting at the MetroLink station close to the Casino Queen and also said they are looking to see if Franklin and Turner are connected to that incident.

As a result of the Swansea shooting, Metro said there is an increased security presence on the platform at stations.
