ST. LOUIS  (KMOV.com) – Members of the Congregation at Immanuel Temple God With Us have a lot to be thankful for this holiday weekend.

Saturday afternoon Pastor Julia Byas discovered their church van had been stolen from her home in North St. Louis County.

“We’re still trying to comprehend. I didn’t get any sleep last night because I kept asking God what is going on,” said Pastor Byas.

They use the van for everything from carpooling members to and from church and using it for their youth program.

“I thought why would someone steal the church van! It’s a white caravan it’s not a luxury van, I just couldn’t understand why someone would steal it,” she said.

But they got good news Sunday evening. Police found the white van in Ferguson and have one man in custody.
