ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Authorities have canceled the advisory for an elderly couple from Oklahoma after they found safe.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued an Endangered Silver Advisory alert for Gerald L. Heggie, 78, and Nita D. Heggie, 75 on Thanksgiving day. The pair had been missing since Nov. 22.

The pair were last seen in McAlester, Oklahoma.

Police said the pair left McAlester some time after 12:00 p.m. and were traveling to Toledo, Oh. However, the two never arrived.

The couple's son said his parents contacted him around 11:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, and told him they thought they were somewhere west of St. Louis.

A cell phone ping has been placed on the couple's cell phone since that call, and their location is said to be somewhere in the St. Louis-area.

The Heggie's vehicle is a 2010 Hummer H2 with an Oklahoma license plate and they were pulling a small boat behind it.
