ELLISVILLE, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A West County pizza place will be closed for repairs after a fire overnight.

Pizzarelli’s Pizzeria in Ellisville, located at the corner of Clarkson and Manchester, was closed when fire crews arrived around midnight. Firefighters told News 4 there was smoke in the kitchen, but the building’s sprinkler system contained the blaze.

The kitchen sustained moderate damage.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, but the source of the blaze was near the oven, officials said.

The pizzeria will be closed for an unknown amount of time.
