Springfield, Ill. (KMOV.com) -
A bill was introduced in the Illinois State Capitol aiming to stop the state from doing business with companies helping to build a wall between the Mexico and United States border.
The bill, HB 6628, is sponsored by State Rep. Will Guzzardi of Chicago.
Specifically, the bill calls for the Illinois Investment Policy Board to identify all companies that contract to build the border wall, advocated by President-Elect Donald Trump in his campaign, and put those companies on the restricted list of investments in the state's pension fund.
