(KMOV.com) – After hearing multiple reports of racial incidents in the Ladue school district, a vigil was held for healing, peace, love and unity.

Dozens of people from the community stood together on Ladue Middle School’s soccer field on Sunday, showing that racial discrimination will not be tolerated under their watch.

Last week, a white student was accused of telling a black student to go to the back of the bus now that Donald Trump is president.

Eric Donovan said his daughter has witnessed other racial comments at her school, which has inspired him to speak out against it too.

“Things that we have gotten used to, maybe have become complacent with,” Donovan said. “She is standing up for and speaking out. I wanted to come out and support her.”
