ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Two suspects are now in custody, and charged for their alleged connection to the shooting of a St. Charles County man.
Officers were called to the 10 block of Wilbert Drive after the shooting was reported just before 6:30 a.m on Nov. 16.
Police said Alfred David, 25, and Dareion Dewayne Tate walked up to the home of Tate's estranged wife and began arguing with a woman about a car parked in the driveway. Following the argument, Tate and Davis went to the back of the home, climbed on an AC unit and allegedly fired into the home, striking a man two times.
They are both charged with armed criminal action and assault. Tate is also charged with violating a protective order
The man, a woman and four kids were inside eating breakfast at the time of the shooting. No one but the man was injured.
After being shot, the man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Francis Howell School District said schools were on a "soft lockdown" while officers work to find the suspects. The "soft lockdown" means there will be no outside activities and an "increased vigilance for any individuals entering school buildings," according to information sent to parents.
