ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- The St. Louis Metro Police Department is calling for public help in their investigation of a deadly hit-and-run on Thursday, November 10.

According to police, 87-year-old Willie Wilson was in his vehicle near Robin Avenue when he was struck from behind by a vehicle and pushed into traffic.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead. The driver who struck Willson’s fled the scene, but police now believe they have surveillance images of the vehicle in question.

Authorities believe they’re looking for a light tan Chevrolet Tahoe or GMC Yukon with a unique sticker on the rear window. They have released images of the truck in the hopes a member of the public will recognize the vehicle.

If residents see the vehicle or know anything about it, they are urged to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS. All tips are anonymous and could receive and award.
