(KMOV.com) – Guests at the Hyatt at the Arch in downtown St. Louis were forced out of their rooms late Saturday night because of a diesel fuel leak.

Firefighters say diesel fuel began leaking from a piece of machinery on the 18th floor of the hotel at about 10:45 p.m.

Firefighters evacuated the hotel because of the strong fumes. Guests gathered in the lobby and outside the hotel for more than an hour waiting for the fumes to clear.

There are no reports of any injuries and no word yet on what caused the leak.
