ARNOLD, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A middle school-aged student was released to his guardian after being hit by a vehicle Monday.

The student was crossing a street on the campus of the Fox Elementary School when he was struck by a vehicle, according to Sam Rayburn, the media contact with the Fox C-6 School District.

Rayburn said it was dark outside and the driver of the vehicle did not see the child.

The child was not serious injured. He was checked out by paramedics on the scene and released to a guardian, who then took him home.
