(KMOV.com) – Sen. Claire McCaskill received disturbing messages after WikiLeaks released her personal cellphone number.
Her number was published after she left a voicemail for Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager John Podesta. In October, 2015, McCaskill said she had information about the Inspector General’s investigation into Clinton’s private email server.
McCaskill said one of the investigators formerly worked for Sen. Chuck Grasserly, a Republican from Iowa. McCaskill’s staff said that information was publicly available to anyone.
The phone calls McCaskill received were deemed abusive but no direct threats were made.
A McCaskill staffer told News 4 McCaskill has changed phone numbers.
