FESTUS (KMOV) -

The man accused of shooting a Festus man six times has been arrested.

Tyrone Ross, 22, of north St. Louis County, was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree assault for allegedly shooting a 30-year-old man on Oct. 14.

The victim suffered critical injuries and still has some of the bullets in his body, according to police.

The shooting happened near 9th and Warne Street as a group of people were leaving a house where they'd gathered. Police say the victim was shot as he sat in his 2008 Lexus but don't know a motive for the crime.

Detective Terry Thomas told News 4, "The victim got in the vehicle, sat there, within a few seconds the suspect walked up to the car, said one quick thing and then unloaded his gun on the victim."

In October, police released surveillance camera photos that show Ross and an unidentified woman stopping at a Quick Trip in Herculaneum 10-15 minutes after the shooting.
