ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Almost two weeks after charges were filed against him in the murder of St. Louis County Police officer Blake Snyder, Trenton Forster has entered his plea.

Not guilty.

Forster entered that plea to both First Degree Murder and one count of Armed Criminal Action. News 4 reported that Forster was arraigned Wednesday afternoon before his plea was made.

Forster is being accused of murdering Officer Snyder the morning of Oct. 6. Officer Snyder was responding to a Green Park residence just after 5:00 a.m. It was then that Forster allegedly fired at Officer Snyder almost immediately after the officer's arrival to the scene.

Forster himself sustained several gunshot wounds after a second officer on the scene returned fire. Forster was transported to the hospital and was listed in critical, but stable conditions.

Forster has since been released from the hospital and is now in Justice Services.
