O’FALLON, Ill. (KMOV.com) – An 84-year-old man is accused of giving an 11-year-old $20 and a note indicating his desire to meet with her privately.

According to police, John Isom gave the girl the handwritten note and money while she was walking to school in the 1200 block of Ruppel Lane on Monday.

After being taken into custody, Isom was charged with one count of disorderly conduct. He posted a $200 cash bond and was released from custody on the condition he would not have any contact with children.

In 2014, Isom was charged by the Monroe County States Attorney with one count of indecent solicitation of a child. His court date is in January 2017.

The O'Fallon Police Department is asking parents to contact them if their child was approached by Isom.
