LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A woman is facing multiple charges after being accused of shooting a woman while fighting with her boyfriend in Lincoln County.

Toni Lynn Morris, of Foley, was drinking alcohol with her boyfriend and a 41-year-old woman in the 600 block of McIntosh Hill Road in Foley during the night of October 13. While the three of them were drinking, Morris became combative with her boyfriend, grabbed a gun and started shooting at him, according to the victim.

While she was firing shots, a bullet struck the 41-year-old woman in the left arm, police said. The boyfriend was not injured in the shooting.

Deputies said three children, ages 1, 2 and 5, were sleeping inside the home at the time of the shooting.

According to deputies, Morris appeared intoxicated when she was taken into custody. The suspect reportedly told authorities she drank a “fifth” of rum with her boyfriend and 41-year-old woman and could not recall many details about the evening, but did remember fighting with her boyfriend. She said she did not believe she fired a weapon.

Morris was charged with unlawful use of a weapon while intoxicated, first-degree assault, attempted domestic assault, two counts of armed criminal action and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She is currently being held at the Lincoln County Jail under a $250,000 cash-only bond.

Officials said Morris was on probation for forgery.
