FLORISSANT, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Police are investigating after a Florissant church was vandalized last week.

Members of the St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church called police after they discovered someone shot out five windows.

“It's just clear to me that nothing is sacred, not a church building, people’s lives, their homes,” Rev. Renee Fenner said.

Rev. Fenner said she had just returned from vacation when she got the call from one of her church members.

“He said, 'I don't want you to be blindsided when you pull into the parking lot.' That was an understatement because even pulling in I can't begin to describe the shock,” Rev. Fenner said.

Police said someone also shot out several parked car windows recently and the cases could be connected. They're still looking for a suspect, but Rev. Fenner has a message for those causing the mess.

“Channel your energy in a more positive way find other things to do,” said Fenner.

Anyone with information should contact police.
