ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – All eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 have reopened at Salisbury following a crash.

One person was transported to the hospital after the driver of a semi-truck suffered a medical emergency and hit a guard rail before 10:30 a.m.

The St. Louis Fire Department originally tweeted that the closure was the result of a two-vehicle crash. Later Tuesday, they advised there was only one vehicle involved and the crash was the result of a medical emergency.

The driver of the semi-truck was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

All lanes of the interstate reopened around 11 a.m.

No other details have been released.
