The two major-party candidates for governor of Missouri went aggressively at each other in their first face-to-face confrontation Friday.

Republican Eric Greitens accused Democratic Attorney General Chris Koster of being a career politician, a big-spending liberal and a rubber stamp for the president's health care initiative. Koster painted Greitensas someone so unprepared to lead the state that he needs a team of helpers.

Greitens is a former Navy SEAL officer and a first-time politician. Koster served in the Missouri Senate before being elected attorney general.

The two major party candidates, along with two third party candidates and an independent, spoke at a forum during the Missouri Press Association convention in Branson.
