ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Two men recently charged in another crime are connected to the shooting of a cab driver in the Central West End, sources say.

Jerry Reese, 19, and Savion Smith are charged with receiving stolen property. The two allegedly used a stolen Commerce Bank credit card at a QuikTrip on South Vandeventer.

One hour before the card was used, police believe it was taken in an armed robbery in the 4300 block of Wyoming.

The charges are not connected to the fatal shooting of Timothy Grice, a cab driver, who was fatally shot in the Central West End. The two allegedly used the stolen credit card two days before Grice was killed.

A search warrant lists Smith as a suspect in Grice's death and seek data from his phone. Officers obtained search warrants for data from Reese's phone and for Reese's DNA.
