ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for anyone who has information that leads to an arrest in the fatal shooting of a cab driver in the Central West End.

Timothy Grice, 38, was shot and killed in his cab near the intersection of Laclede and Kingshighway during a robbery Wednesday.

Police are currently out in full force to find Grice’s killer. The Executive Director of the CrimeStoppers Tip Line, Lisa Piscotta, says the tip line is essential to solving the case.

“As a police officer, we need witnesses in order to get warrants in order to arrest someone. You need a witness,” says Piscotta.

Piscotta says CrimeStoppers is anonymous, making it easier for people to come forward.

“We are able to take the information from people and get it to police anonymously,” said Piscotta. “With CrimeStoppers, it is easy to contact us, we have no caller ID. We have no traces, we have no web traces or traces on texts.”

If you have any information, call CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS (8477).
