CLAYTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – More than 100 people are expected to pack a Monday night meeting in Clayton to weigh in on major plans for a new Centene headquarters.

Centene plans to build the new headquarters at the corner of Hanley and Forsyth. They want to break ground this fall, but the company still has to get through the approval process.

The project would be the biggest one Clayton has ever seen. It would include apartments, retail space and parking.

During the meeting, the company will have its first opportunity to ask the city to approve the $800 million development. They are also requesting millions of dollars in public money from the city and residents want to know how this will impact other services.

The meeting will take place in the council chambers at City Hall at 5:30 p.m.
