One lane has reopened on Interstate Highway 55 after being shut down in the early hours of Saturday morning. All lanes were shut down so that a helicopter could airlift an accident victim from the scene in Madison County.

The conditions of others involved in the accident are unknown.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing. News 4 will update this story as more information becomes available.
