SOUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) – Police say a wave of crimes takes over a subdivision street in south St. Louis County and leaves over two dozen homeowners as victims.
Residents living on Burgundy Way Drive say the thieves went door-to-door and car-to-car looking for anything to steal. They say there were as many as 27 separate incidents of car break-ins. They believe the thieves are heroin addicts.
Edin Sabic, homeowner, says after the thieves went through his two cars, they got into the garage as he was asleep.
“Scary fact they were inside my garage. I know my wife is really freaking out right now and she’s really scared,” said the homeowner.
And across the street, two windows were broken on a SUV and the burglars allegedly stole a Mac.
“My whole side window was broken in which was $300 and my windshield is broken,” said Alyssa Catanzaro, car owner.
